Dallas Pulmonary and Critical Care was established in 2012 by founding physicians Dr. Tung Tran and Dr. Shibu Thomas, who aspired to change healthcare by providing quality comprehensive and cost effective critical care to their community.

By 2013 DPACC hired its first three Nurse Practitioners. Through a collective vision of quality, growth, collaboration and commitment to its patients, DPACC has grown to serve hospitals spanning the entire Dallas fort worth metroplex with quality metrics that outperform competitors locally and nationally.

Since its inception, DPACC has developed multiple critical care service lines including ECMO, neurocritical care, telemedicine and has formalized an APP training program including a fellowship for new graduates entering the intensivist role.
